Racing Pride returns to Silverstone for British GT Pride Party

Racing Pride had a fantastic weekend at the British GT Silverstone 500!

Our members, guests, and students from Silverstone UTC gathered to watch a spectacular day of action from our balcony space on Saturday.  Members were able to explore the paddock, enjoy the trackside atmosphere, and gather as a community.  The Pride Party included a quiz, games, and more – including a delicious lunch and Racing Pride cupcakes!

Throughout the day a range of guest speakers from Formula 1, GT, and the automotive sector shared their experience working as engineers, designers, comms professionals and content creators.

This included insights from Racing Pride Ambassadors Matt Drew, Laura Webber, and Millie Minter, as well as Director, Matthew Harriet Randall. Attendees were also able to hear from Lauren Wedgwood, Lexi-Paige Bennett, Emma Rose Collingridge, Lucy Ball-Wood, Grace Harrold, David Nelson and, of course, our CEO Richard Morris. We were particularly proud to showcase the breadth of career opportunities in motorsport to the UTC students.

After quickfire stage introductions and networking, UTC students and Racing Pride members took part in workshop sessions with some of our experts, who discussed their varied roles and pathways into motorsport.  We’re so happy to have been able to offer these career insights to some incredible young minds!

On Sunday, we brought the Pride Hub to the British GT paddock and had a fantastic time engaging with spectators and drivers alike!  The overall message was clear – it’s powerful when we come together, support, and uplift each other.

Thank you to Silverstone UTC for their support and hospitality, as well as the team at Silverstone Circuit, the Racing Pride team and the UTC staff and students who volunteered their time to help make this a great event!
