BARC forms partnership with Racing Pride

The British Automobile Racing Club (BARC) has joined Racing Pride as its latest Industry Partner ahead of the 2020 season.

The BARC is one of the biggest motorsport organisations in the United Kingdom, with a rich and illustrious history that spans more than 100 years. Today, the BARC is responsible for organising more than 35 championships and upwards of 60 race meetings each year. The BARC championships represent a diverse cross-section of motorsport, ranging from the British Touring Car Championship to the Britcar Dunlop Endurance Championship, the Motorsport UK British Hillclimb Championship and the UK Sports Prototype Cup, to name just a few. Alongside existing Industry Partners 750 Motor Club and the British Racing & Sports Car Club, this means that Racing Pride will reach in excess of 80 series in British motorsport in 2020 – its first full year after launching in June 2019.

An official statement from the BARC announcing the partnership read: “The British Automobile Racing Club is delighted to announce its support of the Racing Pride movement…Racing Pride stickers will be made available to competitors at all BARC meetings who wish to show their personal support, whether as LGBTQ+ people themselves or as allies. In addition, the BARC will also lend its backing to Racing Pride initiatives on social media, via the website and through its other communications channels.”
