Racing Pride has teamed up with Racing Mentor to offer a scholarship to the Sponsorship Success Academy for the LGBTQ+ racing community.

Beginning October 2021, the Sponsorship Success Academy is a cohort learning programme that will teach drivers the skills and mindset needed to gain sponsorship and grow a brand that will attract fans and sponsors. The course is designed to help drivers take their careers to the next level.

Keen to support the LGBTQ+ community, Racing Mentor’s founder Jess Shanahan reached out to us during the course development stage with the idea to provide scholarships that support inclusivity within motorsport. We jumped at the chance to support this and offer a scholarship to our LGBTQ+ audience. This will help a driver that has the raw talent but may otherwise not have the budget or confidence to join the course.

The Racing Pride Scholarship is open to all members of the LGBTQ+ community. Entry is via nomination and we encourage you to either nominate yourself or someone else for the scholarship. This is a worldwide opportunity, with no barriers or borders.

The successful person will get a fully funded place in the Sponsorship Success Academy’s first cohort. They’ll be able to join the Plus level of the course, which includes:

• Six modules, taught across 12 live (and replayable) online sessions
• Teaching of the Racing Mentor Influential Driver method
• A personalised learning plan and progress tracker
• Weekly homework club
• Direct feedback from Racing Mentor
• 1:1 media training with a member of the Racing Mentor team
• Access to the Template Library — 40+ templates for pitching, proposals, and social media
• Access to driver case studies
• Access to exclusive pre-recorded interviews from experts
• Free entry into the next cohort to support you into the 22/23 season.

Entries close on September 24th, with the successful driver announced by September 30th. Judging will be shared by the Racing Pride and Racing Mentor leadership teams. Any winner who may have already purchased a place (spots are limited to 50) will be refunded their cost/cost difference.
