Racing Pride Hub at Goodwood Festival of Speed celebrates Formula 1’s 75th Anniversary
As the Goodwood Festival of Speed celebrated Formula 1’s 75th anniversary in 2025, Racing Pride was proud to return to the four-day celebration of all things motorsport and automotive. Our Pride Hub welcomed community members and allies throughout the event, from 10–13 July.
Since its founding in 2019, Racing Pride has worked with several teams on the Formula 1 grid, collaborating with them to deliver education, policy improvements, and visible allyship – including our current partners Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team, McLaren Racing, Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix, Oracle Red Bull Racing, BWT Alpine F1 Team, and power unit suppliers Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains.
Teams partnering with Racing Pride are supported to develop and enhance LGBTQ+ inclusivity policies – improving team cohesion and ultimately performance. Alongside this, our international community of Racing Pride members are embraced by our partners with visits to F1 sites such as our recent We Belong Together celebration at the Aston Martin Racing Technology Campus, as well as Pride Hubs at the British and Australian Grands Prix, and pride parties alongside events such as the Miami Grand Prix and the US Grand Prix in Austin.
Racing Pride’s reach within the sport extends beyond purely F1, though. Current automotive partners include Aston Martin Lagonda and Arnold Clark, while Racing Pride’s ambassadors and community champions are involved in disciplines as diverse as rallying, drift racing, drag racing, motocross, karting, motorbikes, sportscars, GTs, prototypes, and endurance racing from club to international level.
Our team members and volunteers at the Pride Hub enjoyed sharing experiences of participating in the Racing Pride community, from our recent events for Pride month through to the community space provided by our members’ discord server. Alongside our Hub team, we were even able to give away some tickets via member competitions and ballots for lucky winners from Racing Pride’s member community to soak up the Goodwood atmosphere!
Throughout the Festival of Speed, we enjoyed welcoming visitors to the Pride Hub, which offered a safe space for people to say hello, take away some artwork by our community member Cammie Sturch from Go for the Gap, and learn about the work Racing Pride does. We loved handing out Pride heart stickers which could be spotted on attendees around the event all weekend!
It was fantastic to see the joy and enthusiasm of those who came to visit us, and our neighbours at the Motorsport UK Inclusion Hub. The Pride Hub location just across from the Ballroom Paddock gave us great proximity to the presence from the F1 paddock.
Our friends at Team Sakura Engineering supported our team through the weekend and brought along their lovely T70, complete with its Racing Pride decals, which drew in the crowds eager to learn more and take a photo!
Four sunny days and many new connections later, we’re grateful to have brought our Pride Hub back to the Festival of Speed with some great memories to take away.
